Beware of Cheating in Investment Simulation Game :

Dear All students (investors) and Remisiers,

Pls take note that some students might be cheating with the lagging of time and usually he or she buy the share at its daily lowest price. Then, he or she try to sell at the highest price of the day within the same day.

If the same patterns keep repeating, pls reject the investor (student)'s order and/or fine with penalty and suspend the student (investor). The serious penalty is the whole group might get zeor marks. I do not allow any cheating practises in the simulation game.

How have you BEEN?

Regarding the investment simulation assignment, our first progress report are bound to be submitted on this coming Thursday on 31 July. So guys please be ready to do the report already yea. Anyway, how's your assignment have been for you? How much do you learn from such investment. And are you ready to take on the real world. Perhaps, some people want to keep it low profile about how they are investing, while others are being just they are, they are a lot of potential seeing from all my fellow friends with their portfolio investment strategy. Perhaps a traders strategy, I may not write their name down here. They may not like it and of course it is not necessary. Even as a remisier, I myself have to learn from them quite alot. So for my process so far, it has been great and it has been so interesting for me as Investment it's just so volatile as how it is called. I hope when you guys free over the holiday, when you drop by my blog (thank you for dropping by, by the way). Whether you are BC287 or 288, please drop by your comments about how this simulation have taught you..have brought a new ideas and thinking to you. Share with others, at least the assignment is not so serious and obligated like normal assignment. It is a GAME remember? hehe..

Investors VS Traders

There is alot of distinction between being an Investor and being a Trader. What does the difference between this two people in a smaller scope of stock market. Very big different and each concept spells the different meanings.

As a lot of books and definition might tell you that an INVESTOR is someone who invest and put it's money, let's say in a share or portfolio and will later wait for it to growth. Investors sees future opportunity, the probability that the share will shoot up high. Their risk is definitely lower than being a trader as most wise investor will study their share or portfolio that they are going to take. Investor is someone who put their money on something, and wait for it to GROW. That is who they are.

As for a Trader, they are not direct contradict of investor but they are more active as I can interpret. In a daily stock market, Traders are the one that you can see Buy in the morning and Sell in the evening, earning some great deals of money which include lossing it at high risk. Their investment can become a transaction (buy and sell) daily, weekly, monthly and include yearly. As for Investment assignment, who to choose and what to choose it definitely depends the type of game you want to play. Our assignment is a sort of short term analysis, so which type of category are you in? And how you want to interpret being THE WHO YOU ARE in your Technical Analysis part? you ask yourself..

KLCI for this week?

KLCI this week? What's your expectation? So far, our market is slightly better off compare to last few weeks with too much political influence, much more speculation and with crude oil price dropping to 136 pointers a few days ago, no one can expect what is to come? but at least what may come can be much better I assume. I'm a noobie in this industry trying to expose myself more by seeing how market are inter-related and I find myself pretty interesting discovery this few days. Just hope during the process of learning it, it is getting more and more real and applicable in our studies.

Anyway, as the topic suggest..no one dare to predict but from rumours and so-call financial analyst were predicting much better KLCI pointers this week. How much better is definitely subjective but it's much better off. Still hard to say..anyway, contact me anytime if anything neccessary for more information. As usual..

Yesterday sees the time when our KLCI rose up just a mere one percent plus and everyone seem so happy that jubilant of high rising share were here n there. However, such things may not last that long as while all investor,remisiers and people are sleeping, NASDAQ, S&P, SMI and US Index all were crying and which saw the figures -59.55, -29.01, -78.14 and +0.18 respectively. A bear territory to describe as it seems. And you will just hope that this things will just get better. And part of today's KLCI -4.32. Some commented probably on the announcements of Pak Lah while others are seeking some other reasons too. But the real deal I just don' know but wishes to know. Anyway, let's hope for great trading in US for today and give the Asian continent great hopes too. French CAC drop at -51.07, Germany DAX -24.17, Hang Seng and Nikkei were the winners with +15.97 and +15.08 respectively..let's just hope for the best..don't stop investing..it aint gonna stop or start if you haven' been analysing..hehe

Remarkably!!!

Finally our country KLCI is finally on a blue color compare to the previous few weeks that sees that our country are entering slump in the economy. Anyway, we shouldn't be happy too much as today's increase were a mere one point something pointer only..so we couldn't be sure about tomorrow's share. Is this a BULL TRAP? Or is it the new opening of the bouncing back time of our economy. One of the reason that caused such happiness in our SHARE MARKET or KLSE today is thanks to the world crude oil price that drop to 136.8 per barrel. So we just hope that NASDAQ, S&P, DOW JONES and the US market are just as happy as well. Because if they are having problems there, KLSE might not be having great luck too..anyway..just prepare for tomorrow then..

Political Influence..

Political Influence may be one of the most vital factors that contribute to how our stock market are behaving. As how volatile share trading can be, political influence every decision can seriously impact Magically changes a wooden staff to a Paladin's super strong sword. Currently in our country, Malaysia, our economy is consider a relatively stable one BUT, a slow growing one too. And the year 2008 sparks something relatively different after GE2008, whereby Political roles become obvious whereby each side (Opposition or Govt.) is trying to prove it better. However, a remarkably shocking increase of crude oil prices make another big impact to everything in our country. In fact the whole world's economy. Thanks to speculation as OPEC had announced that they are no shortage crude oil. So we don't know who is right and wrong! Back to our Political Influence topic. Whenever our country is facing implementation from our governing bodies, stock market can be the one seen changes rapidly. I mean really rapidly. Imagine GE2008, that our KLSE have to shut down for 1-2 hours if I'm not mistaken due to constant falling of Composite Index. And only to wait for our government to throw down some Billions of money to roll everything back again. And with our government slightly being unsure about how they are using our country's money. There is no surprise, why are investors pulling back their arms. Just hope better implementation are made and hope more detail analysis I can get from OSK Remisier, fellow experienced and investors. How's The Composite Index..brief preview

I'm updating this blog with a short post for a composite index of KLSE for the past one week dated since 16 June 2008 to 23 June 2008. Right now, our country stock market ain't in a very stable condition, in fact since the increase of the crude oil prices (to our fuel), our composite index had never increase any higher. And with speculation about the increase of products here and there, it affects the market whether you are the seller or buyer, price are constantly increase till the extend I called it 'UNRULY'. Is this a good sign or bad sign? Is it the same sign of the business cycle that cause the financial crisis in 1997-1998? I seriously can't bear responsibility to say I know anything, but just hope that we are off from inflation. We want higher standard of living not higher cost of living. With "Bearish Signals" market, I can never be surprised why are people pulling off their arms from investing.

Gambler, INVESTOR. WINNER!

As an introduction, this will be a blog that will probably last for a semester but probably longer as part of my assignments, but also for future reference or studies. Let's start a great semester with fun investing with ample information and confidence. As the current World Richest Man (no longer Bill Gates) Warrent Buffett (who become world's richest by investing and gaining his position back after 13 years) says, " As an investor, you must have discipline, patience, flexibility, courage, confidence and decisiveness". Also precise fast decision have to be made too as Noah did not start building the Ark when it was raining. And Warren Buffet also once quoted stressing that, " Critical Investment factor is determining the intrinsic value of a business and paying a fair or bargain price".

So guys, Investor you can say as gambler but we do work out a lot for our gains, therefore we are professional gambler I may say. So be an Investor and BE A WINNER starting from now.
